Join us this year for the 2017 Mozingo Haunted Campground! This annual event will be hosted after the Maryville Hy-Vee Seven Miles on Mozingo Trail Run from 3:00-7:00pm at the Main RV Campground and Reserved RV Campground. The event will have activities for folks of all ages and is guaranteed to be the best Halloween celebration in NW Missouri!
From Sunday, 10/22/2017 through Sunday, 10/27/2017, the rate for the Main RV Campground will be $20.00 per night! (Those who have already booked in the Reserved RV lot will receive a credit for the difference in price: $10 reservation fee + daily rate.)
Please be sure your sites are paid from the moment you drop off your rig to whenever you plan on staying through; the Information will be open 7am-7pm daily and there is a drop box on the east side of the building where payments can be received. (Information Booth will close early 10/28 at 2:00PM) All guests must have a vehicle, vessel or camping unit on their site to book in the Main RV Campground. Rate only applied to the dates within 10/22/2017-10/27/2017; standard rates apply to all other days one’s site has been occupied outside of this time frame.
THE ROAD TO THE MAIN RV PARK WILL BE BLOCKED OFF STARTING AT 4PM. Please plan accordingly.
Shuttles provided, plenty of parking available for the event.
Schedule
3:00pm-4:30pm: Pumpkin Carving Contest, Face Painting and Festive Games!
The pumpkin carving contest is for children ages 12 and under. Participation prizes given to all contestants for the pumpkin carving contest and one main prize for the best pumpkin! Winners will be announced at 4:00. Pumpkin carving materials provided, though feel free to bring your own! Pumpkins available while supplies last.
There will also be a face painting booth and other fun games in the surrounding area for youth and adults alike.
4:00pm-7:00pm: Inflatables
We’re bringing back some spooktacular inflatables for Haunted Campground! Enjoy the bounce houses and other courses while waiting for the trick or treating to begin at 5:00PM.
5:00pm-7:00pm: Trick-Or-Treating!
All 95 RV Sites will be decked out and ready to welcome treat or treaters by 5pm. Be sure to bring a bag / pillow case for candy and to stop by the main entrance of the campground for a glow bracelet. Trick or treating will conclude promptly at 7:00pm.
If you are a camper, be sure to bring PLENTY of candy!
7:00PM: Awards Given for Top 3 Best Decorated RVs
Camping over this weekend? Be sure to deck out your campsite and rig! While the festivities are going on our Haunted Campground volunteers will be going around and judging each the RV Decorating Contest! No formal entry required, just decorate and get ready for the trick-or-treaters!
Main Prize is one (1) 10 Day RV Punch Pass! Second & Third Place Prizes will each receive a vouchers for a two night RV stay.
All participants must have the site rentals fully paid to be eligible. Plan accordingly, Information Booth hours will be posted on the building.
