  • What is the speed limit on the lake?

     

    The speed limit is 40 miles per hour.

  • Is there a limit on how long boats can be on the lake?

     

    Yes! Boats in excess of 28 feet are not permitted on Mozingo Lake.

  • Are there any type of boats that are not permitted at Mozingo Lake?

     

    Hovercrafts, air boats and any motorized or non-motorized boat in excess of 28 feet are not allowed on the lake.

  • What type of permit will I need to boat on Mozingo Lake?

     

    All boats must purchase a Daily Boat permit or Seasonal Boat Permit to boat on Mozingo Lake. These permits may be purchased at the Information Booth at the park; or at Maryville Public Safety (on 3rd and Vine Street in town).

  • What type of boats will need a boat pass?

     

    All motorized and non-motorized boats wanting to boat on Mozingo Lake will need a daily or seasonal boat pass. Examples of motorized boats include (but are not limited to) bass fishing boats, jet skis, pontoons, wet bikes and any boat that gets about by any motorized means. Examples of non-motorized boats include kayaks, canoes, sailboats, paddleboats and any boat that gets around by means of paddles, sails or oars.

  • When will my seasonal boat pass expire?

     

    Mozingo Lake Seasonal Boat passes expire on December 31st of the year they are purchased.

  • Where can one purchase a boat pass for Mozingo Lake?

     

    Boat passes may be purchased at the Information Booth or Park Maintenance building during their respective hours of operation. Outside of those hours, boat passes may be purchased in town at Maryville Public Safety (off 3rd and Vine Street).

  • Do we rent motorized or non-motorized boats?

     

    No, we do no rent boats, kayaks, jet skis, pontoons, canoes or any sort of watercrafts at Mozingo Lake Recreation Park.
